Overview
The 12-week rule, tracked per worker.
Before you start
- Agency console: the Payroll preset, an Admin or a super admin.
- Client dashboard: an Admin (the page is in the menu for Admins).
- Post-parity pay and charge rates on the rate rules where parity applies (see Creating Rate Rules).
Agency console: Workforce > AWR tracking. Client dashboard: Workforce > AWR tracking.
After 12 qualifying weeks in the same role with the same hirer, agency workers are entitled to equal pay and basic conditions. This page keeps one record per worker with their qualifying weeks, first and last shift, how many times the count was reset, and whether they have reached parity.
How Weeks Are Counted
What TempClock does, in plain terms.
Recalculate
The records do not update by themselves.
Choose the client
Agency console: choose a client from the filter, or leave All Clients to recalculate every active worker. The client dashboard covers your own workers.
Recalculate
Click Recalculate AWR. TempClock reads every completed shift and rewrites each record. The page shows when it was Last calculated.
There is no automatic update. Click Recalculate AWR at least once a week, for example as part of closing the week. A worker's parity date is the day a recalculation first finds 12 weeks, and AWR rates apply from that date, not earlier.
Reading the Page
Who is close, who has qualified.
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every record. |
| Approaching | Workers at 8 to 11 weeks. |
| Parity Achieved | Workers at 12 weeks or more. |
| Pre-parity | Workers below 8 weeks. |
Each row shows the Worker, Client, Job Role, AWR Progress, Weeks, First Shift, Last Shift, Resets and Status. Export CSV and Export Excel download the same list, in both consoles.
AWR Rates on Rate Rules
Pay the parity rate automatically.
On a rate rule, fill in Pay after 12 weeks (£/hr) and, if the charge changes too, Charge after 12 weeks (£/hr), under AWR Post-Parity Rates. Once a worker's record shows parity at that client in that role, payroll, the Sage file and the charge schedule use these rates for shifts on or after the parity date. Leave them blank where the rate does not change.

Troubleshooting
Common questions.
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "No AWR records found" | Recalculate AWR has not been run. | Click Recalculate AWR. |
| A worker at 12 weeks is still paid the old rate | The rule has no post-parity rate, or the parity date is later than the shift. | Set Pay after 12 weeks (£/hr) on the rule. |
| In the client dashboard, Recalculate AWR shows "Please run the enterprise migration to enable AWR tracking." | The client dashboard could not rebuild the records. | Ask the agency to recalculate from the agency console, then reload the page. |
