Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using TempClock ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TempClock provides workforce clock-in, time and attendance tracking, shift management, and payroll integration tools. The Service includes the web dashboard, kiosk application, client portal, REST API, and all related features. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. One account per company; sub-accounts can be created for team members via the dashboard.

4. Pricing & payment

TempClock is priced at £150 per active site per month. Volume discounts of 25% apply automatically when you have 10 or more active sites. Key billing terms:

  • •A 10-day free trial is available for new accounts. A valid payment method is required.
  • •Billing begins automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
  • •All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • •Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • •We may adjust pricing with 30 days' written notice.

5. Free trial

New accounts receive a 10-day free trial with full access to all features. You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing cycle.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. When you deactivate a site, billing for that site stops at the end of the current billing cycle. There are no cancellation fees, lock-in periods, or early termination charges. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days before deletion.

7. Your responsibilities

As a TempClock account holder, you are responsible for:

  • •Obtaining appropriate consent from workers before collecting biometric data (facial photographs and descriptor vectors).
  • •Ensuring accuracy of worker data, timesheets, and payroll exports.
  • •Complying with applicable employment, data protection, and health & safety legislation.
  • •Managing user access and permissions within your account.
  • •Not using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Data ownership

You retain ownership of all data you upload to TempClock. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. You may export your data at any time via the dashboard or API.

9. Availability & support

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. Support is available via email and our in-app AI assistant (Ada). We will use commercially reasonable efforts to respond to support requests within one business day.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TempClock's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
