A timestamp on its own does not prove someone was where they were meant to be. Without a location, the gaps are easy to miss and quietly expensive.

Buddy-punching only needs a shared phone or a borrowed login. A timestamp cannot tell you whether the right person was actually on site.

A client or a fire officer asks who is on site, and a list of clock-in times is not the same as a register of who is actually present, where.
Draw the boundary once, check it on every clock-in
Each site gets a geofence, a centre point and a radius you set on a map. From then on, the location is part of the clock-in, not an afterthought.

Set the fence on a map
Drop a pin on the site and choose a radius, tight for a single building, wider for a yard or a campus. Each site can have its own boundary.

Capture location at clock-in
When a worker clocks in, the kiosk reports its GPS position and how accurate it is. A reading that is too imprecise to trust is flagged for review.

Measure the distance
The distance from the site centre is calculated and kept with the clock: 50 metres reads very differently from 3 kilometres.

Flag what falls outside
In warning mode an off-site clock is accepted but flagged, and can email the right manager. In strict mode it is refused, and the refusal is logged.

Geofencing answers where. Face verification answers who. Put the two together and the two oldest ways to game a clock-in stop working at once.

A clock-in from outside the boundary is flagged with its distance, so an hour logged 3km away never passes quietly.
